About us

We knew we were onto something special when word filtered through of our first wedding invite. This wasn't any old wedding. This was a wedding we'd inspired. A couple were getting re-married after 26 years apart and our first book, the Dirty Stop Out's Guide to 1970s Sheffield, was the catalyst.

Since that day it has been our mission to launch products that take our customers on a journey to re-discover a time when music, fashion and dance floors were the most important thing in their lives.

We have total passion for what we do. We love bringing eras back to life that might otherwise be forgotten. Nothing beats the utter excitement of helping someone re-discover their mojo!

Our Dirty Stop Out's Guides are lovingly researched for months and years and involve contributions from literally hundreds of people. It's only that way that we come up with something truly authentic - a quality product that will be cherished for years to come. You can also buy our books in branches of Waterstones and HMV.

Our sell out events are the result of months of planning and research as we use our detective work to track down longlost DJs, club owners and more. Our biggest honour to date was re-staging Peter Stringfellow's legendary King Mojo club that ran in Sheffield in the 1960s. People travelled from across the globe to be there!

All our gifts are lovingly researched and crafted and have been sent and received worldwide!

And just before we go... We're always on the look out for quirky stories relating to our products. Maybe your face appears in one of our books! Please get in touch and tell us - we like to know when we've been spreading a little happiness!

Rediscover your mojo with the Dirty Stop Outs.
